Hearts(Helping Everyone Access Resources Through Support) is a nonprofit .
We focus on helping low income families and the working poor acquire their basic needs.
Our current community initiative is a bike drive. We have many families in need of bikes for their children. These families cannot afford to purchase bikes for their children. Nor do they qualify to receive a bike from other programs such as Sports Central that requires a referral or proof of having a low enough income to qualify for help. Most families that work or own a home are barely making ends meet to pay for rent, bills and food. They definitely cannot afford to purchase their children bikes. Our bike program allows these families to get bikes for their children. It allows those children who receive bikes to live active and healthy lifestyles. They can ride bikes with their family and friends. This program puts a smile on so many children and parents faces. It provides them with hope that there is people that care and want to make a difference in their lives.
We are in desperate need of 24 and 26” bikes for our older/taller children and teenagers.
We have drop off locations in Millwood's, Sherwood Park, St Albert, Westmount, Spruce Grove, and Southeast Edmonton. We could also use monetary donations to help purchase much needed bike parts like new seats, smaller bike tires, tubes, brake and gear cables etc. We want to ensure that all bikes given out to these families
are not only mechanically sound but look like new or in great condition to the families receiving them. Do you want to make a difference and help? Please reach out to help put a smile on a child’s face. We are also in need of volunteers to help fix and repair donated bikes as our bike mechanic will be moving as we have been unable to hire him and offer him any wages for any of the hundreds of hours he has donated to our Bike program. If you can help, please reach out.
Starting at the end of July the bike program will remain in progress if possible and we can find volunteers to work on bikes. However we will be starting our next community initiative which is a clothing drive. This helps families to have the clothing and outerwear needed for when their children go back to school.
We have many families in need of clothing for boys, girls, Men and women.
Our campaign to Empower The Community page has many ISO‘s for clothing. Including outerwear, boots etc.

Everyone should have access to affordable clothes. But for many this is a Luxury and often left last on the lists of purchases required to be made for a household. Our goal is to provide access to clothing
We collect furniture that has been gently used. Then provide it at a reduced price for those that may be starting over and need to collect new furnishings.
