When I found out about hearts, in the new year of 2018 I was just going into my second trimester of pregnancy and had a 4 yr old by my side, thinking I had to get a apartment for my family, I was looking on Facebook marketplace and value village at household items and clothing lots for my children at a cheap to reasonable price. Until someone said go check out hearts, I googled the address and I so oh that’s a bit of a walk from the nearest bus stop, so I said alright I’ll go; I walked in and I see racks, bins & tables of everything I was looking for. Clothing for my child, my unborn child and to make a new home for my girls. They needed volunteers I put in my hours because I felt like paying $5 for everything wasn’t enough, even in the beginning I was so grateful I was paying $10-$20 since I heard she was doing this on the kindness of her heart, and that doesn’t pay the bills.
Months go by, child was born, I was still support hearts all the way instead of going to value village. I was so glad that there was a place to help my family with getting on our feet, helping me clothe my growing children.
I just want to thank Hearts, and everyone who made it happen for helping my family on our feet and into our apartment to make it our home

As a little child I used to repeatedly have a dream about going to store where I could pick whatever I want and everything would be free. You made that dream come true for me when I visited your store.

Im a SAHM and my husband has been unemployed since the last 18 months. I needed a few things around the house which I could not afford. Thanks to the store I was able to get those items.

I loved how everything was neatly categorized and organized so things could be found easily. It is hard to believe that people behind the scenes put in so much effort to make all this available for free while they do not recieve any renumeration whatsoever themselves.

I have donated so many items to places like value village and goodwill only for them to sell them at exhorbitant prices. I myself have paid a lot of money to shop at these places. They pale in comparison to the free hearts thrift store.

This initiative definitely takes so many things out of the waste stream and ensures clothing, toys, books and household items are reused and recycled.

I think we as a community should work together to keep this service be available to the General public especially the poor, the needy and any family on a tight budget.

I also appreciate that you and your team were so warm and kind to us while we shopped there. Because what is more beautiful than giving is giving graciously.

Thank you again.

Teresa was extremely nice and helpful. The volunteers are very humble and helping. The stuff was nicely put together and well organized. Me and my wife dropped off a some of our housewares so the organization can continue the mission in helping the community. Its a great place to find what you need. Thank you for the wonderful things you gave us. Our heart have been deeply touched by your kindness.
